OK. It's time to map out my schedule working up to application time. As a refresher: I'll apply this Fall for admission in 2012 to various OB programs. Here's my tentative checklist and rough schedule:
- Finalize school list: May 1
- LOR
- Ask final recommender to write LOR: April 15
- Send recommender "guide" to all letter writers: July 1(too soon?)
- Send follow-up to letter writers: Sep 30 (?)
- SOP
- Complete draft SOP: May 1
- Draft 2 of SOP: June 15
- Final Draft SOP: August 1
And then there's my research pipeline:
- Paper 1 (4th author)
- Submit to journal: April 1
- Paper 2 (1st author)
- Present at conference: April
- Complete additional analysis & rewrite: July 1
- Submit to journal: August 1
- Paper 3 (5th author)
- Present at conference: April
